This is Low Carb Cory. I'm a health/wellness/fitness coach from Stevens Point, Wisconsin. I specialize in helping people lose fat, maintain healthy body weights, and improve their lives through continuous improvements in general health and well-being! I also know a thing or two about building some muscle, too! I love to watch and play basketball, love football (go Packers!), swim and hit the beach in the summer, weight-train 5 days a week plus some high intensity cardio on the side, and write, produce and record my own music. My personal mission is to achieve and maintain a body fat % around 8% for the rest of my life and get that lean, muscular, Hollywood-leading-man type physique (think Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Brad Pitt, Taylor Lautner, Cam Gigandet, etc.). I have no desires to be an Olympic Powerlifter and a Pro Bodybuilder. This life, to me, is about looking great, feeling even better, and learning new things every day, not about achieving unnatural and unrealistic muscle proportions. I originally started weigh-training heavily in March of 2009 at 5'10", about 170 lbs, and with a body fat % up over 18%. I was "skinnyfat" (fat and skinny at the same time). My Turbo Jam Month 1 Results :)
Hello! My name is Raven and I am 20 years old. I've been doing the fitness program Turbo Jam from Beachbody for a month and 1 week now. I decided to get more motivation with my weight loss goal so I decided to show my progress pictures. Also that way if anyone is interested in TJ they can see some results from a beginner! In the Turbo Jam program it comes with a beginners and advanced calendar where Chalene Johnson, the creator of TJ, made a recommendation of each workout that should be done everyday of a month. I switched it and made my own calendar so it could be a little easier for me. For instance the first week I just did 1 video instead of 2 and the second week I only did 2 videos instead of 3. I went with my own pace which Chalene definitely recommends. For my diet, to me this was the hardest part. I cut out soda and energy drinks from my diet and only drank either Diet Green Tea, water or 100% Juice. I ate mostly lean meats, like turkey and chicken. I added lots of fruits and vegetables to my diet. I stopped eating as much processed food as I could, this was really difficult since I am a full time student and I was so use to just eating a hot pocket or something like that if I was in a rush. It is a lot of work but it really worth it! I noticed a lot of change within my body and a lot of fat turned to muscle. Lots of people have noticed my progress and it just makes me more determined.
