Yoga Arm Balance, Tittibhasana from Second Series with Kino









www.kinoyoga.com I shot this video in my actualy practice between my yoga workshop sessions in Berlin. It's far from perfect but I decided to share because some people were asking me to show more of my personal yoga practice. The building is so beautiful, part of a church nearby the Jivamukti Yoga Center that hosted me. I love the light and the shadows and the old European building. Tittibhasana is a challengning series that beginsby jumping into the arm balance basic A position of the sequence. After five breaths here place the feet ont he floor and bind the hands around the back, widen the legs and straighten the legs as much as possible. Round your bakc, slide the torso through the thighs and keep the lower belly drawn in as much as possible. Then take ten little steps forward (inhale right, exhale left) and ten little steps back. Next bring the feet as close together as possible and keep them parallel, bringing the head and torso through the thighs again. Rest the head on the back of the shins, press the shoulders into the calf muscles and gaze at the nose. Hold for five breaths. Return to Tittbhasana A for another orund of five breaths, move through Bakasana and then jump back. Your thighs might burn throughout the posture. If so, that's ok just keep going. Each movement is counted or coordianted with the breath and a specific Sanskrit number. I omitted the Sanskrit here b it would have taken too long. That's best learned from a teacher anyway.
